Jenna Fischer's most famous role was that of Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. In appreciation of her performance, she won an Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won 2 SAG Awards.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in the church when she was younger, which instilled a love of theater and performance.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, a theater-trained actress returned to her home base. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons for Being Happy. The play was followed by her participation as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's newest production Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run at Old Globe Theatre. The Office actress Angela Kinsey Fischer, who is her real-life best friend and castmate, launched Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The podcast became hugely popular and ranked within the Top Ten of the world each week. The podcast received more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
She's written two books, The Actor's Life A Survival Guide where she outlines her journey to Hollywood as a working actor and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends who were There, which is a story of the greatest relationship they shared and their experiences on The Office.
