April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4, 1995) started her journey in music at the age of 7 when she took guitar and piano lessons. April Lockhart wrote her first single"Different" at 12 years old. At the age of 14, April devoted much of her time creating and playing with songs. In the following months, April started taking trips across NY and LA with her Dad in order for them both to write songs. April included other subjects in her hit song, Take my Hand. These topics included topics for her friends who dealt with things like peer pressure and disabilities, or even teenage suicidal ideas. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle influencer, as well as being a partner with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia, has built a large audience. She was born with no left hand and that is what makes her different. It's not the only aspect that makes her unique. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on Instagram, but she doesn't make it the focus of her story. What message does it convey? This is the message That we all carry numerous identities. We're much more complex than we think we are. It's not my intention to let that define me I don't intend to become an influencer in which I only speak about since there are so many other things about my life. Lockhart speaks via video from her home in Nashville. The fact that she is a disability influencer doesn't impact my life. It's all normal, and I have learned to make adjustments. Because it's an integral part of me It's a topic worthy of talking about. Lockhart has served as an excellent source of inspiration for her female friends in the area of acceptance of oneself. Lockhart admits to having been through a series of phases with her physique, feeling uneasy in some instances to wear outfits that showcased the arms of her. She is able to wear anything she wants, and she proudly shares photos of her in these outfits. She says that self-love is a journey. I'm not sure when you'll reach the final stage. It's a journey, I don't think you ever arrive. It is essential to be surrounded by people who can really see you.
